Meet Emily, the founder of Belle Ame Couture

Emily has had a love for fashion, sewing and design from a young age. She started creating handmade bears, dolls, and dresses, and continued throughout her life creating wearable garments, eventually finding a love for gowns after designing her own formal dress. She went on to study the art of fashion in Brisbane, Australia, and after four years and an internship, fell head over heels for the bridal industry.

Inspired by the women meet through her internship and her love for bridal and formal wear, Emily launched the brand with her mother, Kylie, in 2026. The brand is still young, but she is excited to see what the future of Belle Ame Couture has to offer.

Kylie does not come from a fashion background but one of science and education. Being a teacher for a decade, she has passion for marine biology and astrology. Yet, Kylie always loved fashion, even getting her own wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses custom designed for her wedding. When Emily started showing an interest in fashion, Kylie was right there beside her, taking her to fabric stores, going to every runway and window shopping at city boutiques.

Together Kylie and Emily decided to take their shared love of fashion and transform that into Belle Ame Couture. Kylie is fully in the decision process, helping refine moodboards, designs and ensure no detail goes unmissed.
